Kohli passes multiple records
Virat Kohli extended his rich vein of form with a splendid knock against Pakistan to give India a good chance of making it to the final. Kohli's 183 off 148 balls overshadowed tons by Mohammad Hafeez and Nasir Jamshed as India chased down 330 with 2.1 overs to spare. Kohli was at his belligerent best, thumping boundaries at will as he powered India to their second win of the tournament while Pakistan experienced their first loss.
Kohli, with this knock, registered the third highest score in ODIs while batting second. Shane Watson (185*) occupies the top spot while MS Dhoni (183*) is placed second on the list. Tendulkar and Herschelle Gibbs jointly occupy the fourth position.

This is Virat Kohli's highest individual score in ODIs. He bettered his previous best of 133 against Sri Lanka at Hobart in the CB series last month. This is also his 11th century in ODI cricket and his third this year.

Kohli's 183 is the highest individual score against Pakistan in ODIs. He went past Brian Lara who had scored 156 against them in 2005. Lara also occupies the third spot while MS Dhoni is placed fourth on the list of highest individual scores against Pakistan.

This was the third instance of a batsman registering a score of 183 and the Indian vice-captain also recorded the highest individual score of the Asia Cup. He surpassed Younis Khan, who had scored 144 against Hong Kong in the 2004 edition of the tournament.

Kohli also helped India record their best chase in ODIs, as they went past the epic 326/8 which they had registered at Lord's against England in 2002. This is also the third time that India has successfully chased down a target of 300 or more against Pakistan.
