Yuvraj Singh named in India's WC T20 probables
Yuvraj Singh was named in the 30-man preliminary squad announced by BCCI for the World Cup T20 which will be held in Sri Lanka starting from September. Yuvraj, who recently recovered from a rare cancer, has been working on his fitness at the NCA in Bangalore and had stated his desire to get fit for the World Cup. If selected in the final squad, it will be his first appearance for India after missing out on national duties since West Indies' tour of India last year. Also named in the squad was Harbhajan Singh, who has fallen out of favour with the selectors after a string of poor performances in the last 2 seasons. Mandeep Singh, who had an impressive season in IPL 2012, and Ambati Rayudu, a consistent performer for Mumbai Indians, were the only uncapped players in the squad. Both the Pathan brothers and Ravindra Jadeja will fight it out for the all-rounder's spot while Dinesh Karthik, Robin Uthappa and Naman Ojha are the other wicket-keepers apart from captain MS Dhoni.
Laxmipathy Balaji, who starred with the ball for Kolkata Knight Riders, also finds a place in the list.
